Dr. Myers earned his medical degree from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he was awarded the “Distinction in Surgery Award.” Following medical school, Dr. Myers completed a general surgical residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, New Brunswick, New Jersey, where he served as Chief Resident. While there, he was named “Outstanding Resident.” His further training included a cardiothoracic surgery residency at Strong Memorial Hospital, University of Rochester, New York, where he also served as Chief Resident.
A Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Myers is also a member of the American College of Surgeons and the Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
Dr. Myers has been a contributing author in a number of published clinical papers relating to the field of cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery, as well as an assistant professor of cardiothoracic surgery at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York.
