Licheng (Tony) Lee, M.D., FACC, Invasive Cardiologist with Northwest Florida Heart Group, earned his medical degree from the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. His postgraduate training included a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu and a Fellowship in Cardiology at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease, internal medicine, cardiac computed tomography, and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Lee is also a fellow to the American College of Cardiology (ACC).
During Dr. Lee’s academic career, he was the recipient of several awards including Excellence in Cardiology while at the University of Hawaii. He has also participated in numerous research projects, published in several clinical journals, and presented his research at international cardiology meetings including the Scientific Sessions of the American College of Cardiology, European Society of Cardiology and Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance.
Dr. Lee specializes in diagnostic and invasive cardiology, with an interest in preventative cardiology. He is qualified to perform and interpret diagnostic cardiac catheterization, echocardiography, stress echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, Holter and Event monitor studies. He also has specialized clinical training in advanced cardiac imaging techniques including cardiac CT, MRI, PET, and 3-D and 4-D echocardiography.
In addition to English, Dr. Lee is fluent in French and Chinese.
