Dr. LaPlace earned her medical degree from Howard University Medical School in Washington, D.C. Her postgraduate training included a residency in Internal Medicine at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C., followed by a Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease, also at Georgetown University. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease.
Prior to relocating to the Pensacola area, Dr. LaPlace practiced in central Florida, and is experienced in Transesophageal/Transthoracic Echocardiography, Stress Echocardiography, Cardioversions, and Nuclear Stress Testing. She is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and is a member of the American Medical Association.
