After obtaining his medical degree from Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Dial performed a surgical residency at Charity Hospital, Louisiana State University, earning honors as Outstanding First, Second and Third-Year Resident. Further training included a General Surgery Fellowship at Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, as well as a Clinical Fellowship in Surgical Oncology, also at the Lahey Clinic. Dr. Dial later served as Chief Resident, General Surgery, at Louisiana State University in New Orleans.
Prior to joining the medical staff of West Florida Hospital, Dr. Dial was in private practice in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Dr. Dial is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the Southeastern Surgical Society, the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, and the American Society of Breast Surgeons.
In addition, Dr. Dial has experience as an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at Louisiana State University Medical School, Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge, and has been published in a number of clinical papers relating to the field of surgery.
