Dr. David Schmidt is currently working out of Dover, NH in the adult outpatient setting. He strives to provide a comfortable, welcoming, confidential and rapid service for the full spectrum of adult psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, impulse control disorders, and substance abuse (not suboxone or methadone maintenance).
Dr. Schmidt graduated medical school at the University of Nebraska and residency at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center before completing his training with a fellowship at Yale Medical School.
Previously, affiliated with a large psychiatric unit, partial hospital program, consultation service, and teaching of Creighton medical students, he has a broad range of experience with the full breadth of psychiatric conditions and acuity levels. He is board certified with the ABPN in psychiatry. His primary work is now seeing outpatients at 16 Fifth St. Dover, NH. He is also currently on staff at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.
